LandCap Investment Partners alongside local business owner Tom Turner bring a new dining experience to the water’s edge of the Sparks Marina. The Marina TownCentre, a multi-use property, will be home to the Sparks Water Bar — a brand-new restaurant expanding Turner’s portfolio of restaurants including Gar Woods Bar & Pier, Riva Grill On the Lake, Bar of America and Caliente Southwest South.
Construction will commence mid-January of 2019 with a projected date of completion by fall of 2019. Sparks Water Bar will highlight and pay homage to the menus of Turner’s other restaurants, while also introducing new dishes. The two-story eatery will feature an indoor 8,000-square-foot dining area as well as a 5,500-square-feet of outside patio space overlooking the marina and its many summertime events.
“When looking at expanding into the Reno-Sparks region, we wanted to connect our history from the lakeshore to the marina’s shore,” said Operating Partner of Tahoe Restaurant Group Tom Turner. “Because of this, Marina TownCentre was a natural fit. Sparks Water Bar will bring a new dining experience to the area with a lively environment for patrons to indulge in good food and scenery.”
The Sparks Water Bar will provide views of the marina and Sierra Nevada mountains, and is perfectly situated in close proximity to the neighboring Outlets at Sparks. The Water Bar will also serve as a social and dining hub for nearby residents including the newly-developed Waterfront at the Marina Apartments. When completed, the five-story wrap building will feature 209 spacious one and two bedroom apartment homes with resort-style amenities.
“The Marina TownCentre will be the hub for the Marina District featuring a live, work and play lifestyle with good walkability,” said CEO and Managing Partner of LandCap Investment Partners Stephen Hinckley. “Working alongside Tom Turner has given us the opportunity to bring a premier restaurant—with local roots— into the heart of the destination.”
