LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan will provide insight, Q & A style, at Faith Lutheran’s annual Advancement Breakfast, Sept. 21, at Faith Lutheran’s Student Center, 2015 S. Hualapai Way. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., with the program running through 9 a.m.
Sandra Douglass Morgan was named President of the Las Vegas Raiders by Owner Mark Davis on July 7, 2022, and is responsible for all business operations, finance, sales, marketing, non-football personnel, and administration for the Raiders and Allegiant Stadium. A Las Vegas native, Morgan has long been a trailblazer and was the first person of color to serve as chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and first African American City Attorney in the State of Nevada.
Morgan has 20 years of experience as a regulator, director, attorney and advisor to integrated resorts, casinos, telecommunications companies, and various government entities. Prior to joining the Raiders, she was with Covington & Burling LLP. She is the immediate past Chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and served as a Commissioner on the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Event proceeds will be directed to Faith Lutheran’s Crusade for Excellence Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is used in part to develop new academic programs, increase educational opportunities and secure new technology.
“Although tuition dollars cover basic education costs at Faith Lutheran, additional funding is needed to minimize tuition increases and expand Faith’s outstanding learning opportunities,” said Dr. Steve Buuck, C.E.O. of Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School. “Events that support the Crusade for Excellence Annual Fund allow us to channel resources where the needs are greatest.”
