Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) is pleased to announce that two of their prestigious campuses have been invited to compete in the 2022 VEX Robotics World Championship.
The invitation followed the CASLV Windmill campus Falcon Force Team #7833A. being selected as a winner in the VIQC School Career Readiness Online Challenge which had entries from 42 states and 17 countries. The charter school’s Eastgate campus’ team VEX V-R-C will also represent CASLV in the upcoming competition scheduled from May 3 to May 5 in Dallas, Texas followed by Windmill campus students who are scheduled to compete from May 7 to May 10. TESLA is the primary sponsor of Falcon Force Team #7833A.
“We are incredibly proud of the students who earned this highly regarded invitation to represent not only Coral Academy, but the entire state of Nevada,” said Ercan Aydogdu, executive director and CEO at CASLV. “At CASLV we believe in an inquiry-based, hands-on approach to STEM education and are thrilled that our students have the opportunity to test their robotic knowledge and skills as they compete with the best.”
The VEX Robotics World Championship is presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation and includes a variety of competitions that celebrates the accomplishments of students interested in robotics. Entry to compete is determined by a panel of judges.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by several large companies including Google and NASA. CASLV has six campuses throughout the valley and is opening its seventh campus in Cadence, Henderson in August 2022.
