Modernized branch offers members state of the art amenities
CARSON CITY, NEV. – Greater Nevada Credit Union’s Ely branch has a new, modernized look and enhanced features after recent renovations. The branch’s lobby, offices and employee spaces all received a facelift and new, state-of-the-art equipment. GNCU’s Ely branch has been operational since 1996.
The Ely location now includes many of the same amenities available at all GNCU branches, with some added bonuses. New banking pods allow members to quickly and easily work with tellers, and the new video lending room offers members the opportunity to virtually interact with a loan specialist located anywhere in the company via video. In July, the branch will also receive a new enhanced ATM.
“Greater Nevada has invested in the branch and the community, and a lot of the members are very excited to see that,” Brandon Shedd, eastern regional manager at GNCU, said. “The feedback has been great — our members enjoy the space and they really feel like it’s their new home.”
The three-month renovation was accomplished with the help of several contractors including O’Flaherty Plumbing & Heating in Ely. During the renovation, the drive-thru and lobby remained fully open to members with minor service interruptions.
“We are thrilled to provide our Ely members with these upgrades to their 25-year-old branch,” Deal Altus, chief retail officer at GNCU, said. “The new interior environment and updated technologies such as video lending will help our members enjoy the local banking experience with even greater comfort and convenience.”
The Ely branch is open from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Members and guests can schedule an appointment at the branch up to 14 days in advance by visiting GNCU.org/Appointments. The drive-thru ATMs are available 24/7.
