Carson City, Nev. – Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) announced Hildi Cruz has joined the Home At Last™ team as its business development specialist. Cruz is responsible for cultivating Home At Last™ business partnerships and serving as an informational resource for potential homeowners. Since 2006, the homeownership program has helped thousands of Nevada families achieve their dreams of affordable homeownership, and Cruz will play an integral role in growing the program’s awareness among thousands more families to come.
“Hildi’s experience combined with her amazing energy is a perfect addition to the Home At Last™ family,” Diane Arvizo, NRHA director of homeownership programs, said. “From business analytics and technical reporting to client service and community outreach, her expertise is bound to help us continue to fulfill our mission through innovative and thoughtful ways.”
Prior to moving to northern Nevada, Cruz spent four years working for the City of Las Vegas as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyst providing administrative and analytical support for departmental projects, including ADA remediation, capital asset planning, land use and development, infrastructure maintenance efforts and regulatory compliance efforts. Prior to that, she held a diverse range of roles including an internship with the United Nations, building homes through Habitat for Humanity, assisting communities with disaster preparedness with the Red Cross and building greenhouses with a community of Quechua people in Cusco, Peru.
Cruz holds Master of Science, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. She’s a member of the Nevada Geographic Information Society (NGIS) and serves as a liaison for the 2021 convention. An avid traveler and outdoorswoman, Cruz also enjoys the company of a good book and the occasional Dungeons and Dragons game.
