THT Health, formerly known as Teachers Health Trust, the dedicated health plan for the educators and licensed professionals in Clark County, debuts a modernized, newly designed look to allow ease of navigation, real time communication and enticing visuals to engage its members. The brand relaunch, inclusive of its signature logo, revamped website, and enhanced social media presence, was part of the strategy to better align the health plan with its extensive list of benefits, providers, and THT Health’s growing commitment to responsible healthcare.
With its brand-new infrastructure supporting spoke and hub technology, realignment of the provider network, redesigning of key benefits, rebuilding of how members get access to doctors and and concierge-style care, THT Health believes it needs to do whatever is needed to help each member actively pursue their health care, even post COVID-19. Properly positioned, the up-leveled plan and look includes an evolved mission, new in-house provider network, new in-house Behavioral Health network, brand new pharmacy program, new benefits, redesigned programs and services, an entirely new concierge-style member service center – all with the intention to improve access, offer more convenience, improve quality of care and redefine cost-savings.
“This rebranding for THT Health marks an exciting and strategic pivot for the future of healthcare and it is critical that our brand reflects the full depth of our capabilities. Overall my hope is that our members get active in planning their health because if you see your doctors for your free annual exams and get those essential check-ups that you may need for your personal health journey, then you will remain healthy. That’s what we endeavor for, healthy and happy members,” says Rebecca Orlov, marketing director of THT Health. “I designed and implemented quick access accordion modules throughout the site that keep a contained and comfortable style with clear messaging and paired this with a flexible navigation menu – one more commonly seen in e-commerce websites. As everyday consumers, we are used to shopping online for almost everything and we are conditioned to this style of navigation. Why not adopt it for healthcare as our members are “shopping” (or seeking) for the items that they need to plan for their health and wellness?”
In response to the chosen color hues, “As a creative strategist and storyteller, I view our member population as a community. A cohort of 40,000 people that align because of one main thing – education. This unique setting fits perfectly into today’s narrative of direct-to-consumer. With this in mind, I redesigned and disrupted the layout and styling of what a typical “health plan” looks like – what I saw frequently as just two colors – blue and white. I flipped it to a more lifestyle experience, utilizing a lighter colorway of taupe, browns, greens, pinks, grays, and a font palette mixed with modern serif and sans serif.”
Orlov explains the evolution to THT Health, “It is an homage to the legacy and bright history of the health plan. The company debuted in 1983 and has always been dedicated to the teachers of Clark County – a deserving community in our eyes. When the new leadership team came on board in early 2019 to transform a then challenged plan – helmed by CEO, Michael Skolnik – we discussed how our member population could reimagine their health plan through the new lens of quality care at affordable costs that our team worked so hard to rebuild over the last 18-months. THT Health felt right. It’s a modern and elevated name that fits securely over the reinvented health plan – staying true to its heritage.”
The THT Health reimagined plan, created a comprehensive in-house network of more than 3,700 quality providers including doctors, specialists, hospitals, urgent and quick care centers and more. They have also looked for more access opportunities, to launch extended evening and weekend doctor office exclusive hours. Through its preferred pharmacy, Alto Pharmacy, benefits include real-time expert Pharmacist support, a dedicated Alto app, free same-day delivery service. They also focus on the whole-being of the patient and offer mental-behavioral health care, and offer a dedicated 24/7 phone line, and a health navigator, providing hand-in hand support, immediate care and response to provide the best outcomes.
Continues Orlov, “I firmly believe that health care is personal and one of our evergreen goals is to create a unique experience for each THT Health member’s health journey. With such a large population, this is a challenge. I proposed packaging our benefits into a “suite” – a fresh way to showcase key benefits that our members can utilize for their personal health care management. Our team worked for the last year, internally and with our health partners to develop and relaunch these essential health benefits that worked better for our community. Teachers who must be fully present in their work daily, don’t have time to leave during the workday to have doctor appointments. THT Health’s goal, as reflected in the sale of the logo, is to be a bridge of communication to provide our teachers, the best access to quality care, and innovative technology and design, to make navigation of the plan, simple and clear.”
