RENO, Nev. – The Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS® (RSAR) recently announced its 2019 annual award winners at RSAR’s annual installation dinner.
Award recipients included REALTOR® of the Year, Doug McIntyre, Broker of Reno Property Management, for demonstrating high involvement and activity in RSAR, his business accomplishments and activity in local civic affairs.
McIntyre’s activities and accomplishments include serving as the 2018 president of RSAR and 2020 Vice President of the Nevada Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. He also serves on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and the Housing Opportunities Committee. Doug also served on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada.
The Abraham Curry Award was presented to Marge Frandsen, a REALTOR® with Trans-Action Realty 500. Frandsen has been a REALTOR® for 15 years, served on the RSAR Legislative Committee since 2011 and was the 2016 chairperson.
Aria James, a loan officer with Finance of America Mortgage was awarded with the Affiliate of the Year honor recognizing her outstanding service and commitment to RSAR. James is an active leader in the industry and has played an important role as chairperson of the RSAR Events Committee. She was played a key role in the success of its charity fundraiser efforts for the past four years.
The Educator of the Year award was presented to Helen Graham of Haute Properties Nevada, in recognition of her outstanding efforts in consistently demonstrating an exceptionally high standard in instructing peers in the real estate industry. Graham has been instructing and mentoring on real estate topics to both new and experience agents for more than a decade. She consistently receives high marks and praise from fellow real estate practitioners. Graham served as president of RSAR in 2013 and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Northern Nevada Regional MLS.
Kathy Leggett received the Mat Gibbons 2019 Good Neighbor Award. Leggett is a REALTOR® with Dickson Realty, and was honored for her service Step2, a local non-profit, for gender-specific long-term treatment services for substance use disorders, domestic violence intervention and education, and trauma services.
