The Providence Master Planned Community donated $7,000 to the nonprofit Operation Homefront, an organization which builds strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities that they’ve worked hard to protect.
The charity’s mission is one that is personal for many Providence residents as approximately 45 percent of the community is active duty or retired military. Funds were raised during the inaugural Reds, Whites and Brews –Wine and Beer Walk hosted by the Providence Master Homeowners Association.
“It’s a wonderful experience to be able to come together with our residents to give back to a charity that directly impacts the military community,” said Jenna Mooney, lifestyle director for the Providence Master Homeowners Association. “With Providence being so convenient to both Nellis and Creech Air Force bases, we’re fortunate that mainly military families call Providence their home.”
