St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will host its fifth annual “St. Jude Against All Odds” charity poker tournament, presented by The Revolution FMO, LLC and The Freedom Dream Team, Saturday, March 2, at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Registration is open for this limited seat poker tournament. The evening, hosted by Luis “Weezy” Egurrola, will feature a red carpet welcome, cocktails, dinner, both silent and live auctions, as well as poker and philanthropy. The event raises awareness and funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Tournament founder and co-chair is six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu. Event sponsors include Charity Series of Poker, Shift4 Corporation, Poker Central and The Revolution FMO, LLC.
“I’m fortunate to be able to support a lot of great organizations, but there’s no other work I do that feels quite the same as supporting St. Jude,” said event chair Matthew Stout, founder of the Charity Series of Poker. “Families never receive a bill from St. Jude, but it’s equally important to know that they freely share their medical research so that the discoveries St. Jude makes can help children worldwide. I get choked up talking or even thinking about some of the St. Jude patient stories and I’m honored to play my small part in assisting them with their wonderful mission and work.”
Tournament buy-in, including dinner, is $500 per person and tickets to cocktails and dinner are $300 per person. Players in the poker tournament will be competing to secure a $10,000 seat to the 2019 WSOP Main Event, as well four center-ice tickets to a Golden Knights game with Daniel Negreau, or a luxury leather bag from MontBlanc.
Thanks to events like this one, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
