As the fifth annual ceremony, this year marks an important milestone for the Family Owned Business Awards. With over 240 companies having been honored over those five years, this event provides much needed recognition to hardworking business owners throughout the state. Italo managed the casino for 40 years before passing it on to his stepson, Mark Brandenburg. Today the company is managed by Mark and brothers Derek and Greg Stevens.

The Hush Puppy restaurants are run today by Virginia, her son Roger, his wife Fran and her brother John.

Today the business is run by several members, including Greg Korte, Ralph’s son, who is president of the Las Vegas office.
