Nathan Adelson Hospice, the largest and only non-profit hospice in Nevada, will celebrate one of its longest-running events, the 22nd Annual Wine & Food Tasting Extravaganza, on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at The INDUSTRIAL Event Space, located at 2330 S. Industrial Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Community members and supporters are invited to sample delectable wines and fine fare from some of southern Nevada’s most notable restaurants, while enjoying live music and a silent auction.
The popularity of the “Extravaganza” continues to grow each year with many local vendors providing sample tastings including, Johnson Brothers of Nevada, Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab, Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill, Echo & Rig, D’Agostino’s Trattoria, On Demand Sushi, Evel Pie and Taste of Asia.
“This fun, highly-anticipated event benefits two essential programs we provide to the community – Camp Erin® and the Families in Need Program,” said Karen Rubel, CEO and President of Nathan Adelson Hospice. “We’re looking forward for guests to savor excellent cuisine, fine wines and help support two important causes.”
Camp Erin® is a special bereavement camp for children and teens ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them. The weekend-long experience is filled with traditional, fun camp activities, combined with grief education and emotional support – led by grief professionals and trained volunteers. Camp Erin provides a unique opportunity for peer bonding between children and teens facing similar life circumstances. From funds raised at events like the Annual Wine & Food Tasting Extravaganza, Camp Erin is offered free to all families.
The Families in Need Program provides relief to patients and families who need help with everyday necessities such as household supplies, or assistance with utility bills, while a family member is facing a life-limiting illness.
Event attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Tickets start at $125 per person, with sponsorship opportunities available. Tickets can be purchased by calling Cassondra Farris at Nathan Adelson Hospice at 702-938-3928 or online at nah.org/get-involved/events
