LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank has named John VanderPloeg branch manager for its Tropicana & Nellis branch located at 4970 E. Tropicana Ave. VanderPloeg will oversee the branch staff, client services and banking operations.
VanderPloeg joined Nevada State Bank in 1990 and has held several management positions, bringing extensive knowledge in sales and service. He previously served as retail business banking sales manager, supervising the bank’s retail development officers and supporting the branch network.
A Las Vegas resident for more than 25 years, VanderPloeg is very involved with nonprofits, including Civitan International, Junior Achievement and the North Las Vegas Chamber Leadership Program. He is currently an active member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and a 2012 graduate of the Henderson Leadership program. In 2014, VanderPloeg was appointed to the City of Henderson’s Redevelopment Advisory Committee for a two-year term.
