Steelman Partners, an architecture, planning and design firm, has positioned itself as the global leader in entertainment architecture. They will share their expertise at TEA SATE, the Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) signature conference series addressing the art, craft, and business of Experience Design. Paul Steelman, AIA, NCARB, CEO, and Suzanne Steelman Taylor, Vice President of Strategy, will speak on issues for the themed entertainment community. Hosted in partnership with the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), SATE Las Vegas will be held October 12-15 on the UNLV campus.
Paul and Suzanne will be the keynote conversation for SATE Day One (Thursday, Oct 13 at 9 a.m.). Paul is recognized as a visionary designer of global entertainment, hospitality, and gaming architecture. Paul and Suzanne have has worked with many well-known clients throughout his career, including Resorts World and Circa Resort and Casino, Genting, Galaxy Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, MGM Resorts International, Sheraton, Hyatt, Swiss Casinos, Hard Rock, Caesar’s Entertainment, Silverton Casino, and Stations Casinos.
“I am thrilled to be speaking to this distinguished group of professionals,” says Paul. “My career started in 1967 when I helped my father build a prefabricated home and continued when I started my firm in 1987. Suzanne began her career at the Steelman Architecture Asia office in Macau, China, before relocating to the Las Vegas headquarters. Suzanne understands the importance and necessity of collaboration between global offices. Suzanne’s position is multifaceted, working with the architecture department designing and coordinating interior spaces, talent acquisition, and taking an active role in client development.

Paul will discuss how he developed Steelman Partners and will share experiences and information working with great entrepreneurs of the world, including Steve Wynn, Kurt Kerkorian, Sheldon Adelson, The Fertitta family, Francis Lui, Stanley Ho, Lawrence Ho, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Derek Stevens. In addition, they will talk about the expansion of gaming in Japan and Europe, the importance of profitability, best practices, and their inspiration.
