HENDERSON, Nev – The Rainbow Club Casino in Downtown Henderson marked its 55th anniversary on Saturday with a big celebration. Guests were able to enjoy complimentary slow-smoked beef brisket sandwiches, frozen drinks and cake. Guests also had a chance to win big cash prizes.
The building which houses the Rainbow Club Casino was built as part of the “company town” to provide goods and services for workers at the Basic Magnesium Company in World War II. Originally it opened as a grocery store, and, in 1967, became the Rainbow Club Casino.
Brothers Tim and Mike Brooks, who also own the Emerald Island Casino in the Water Street District, bought the Rainbow Club Casino from Peppermill Casinos Inc. amid the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on June 1, 2020, and re-opened the casino on September 17, 2020.
“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone anniversary than to be surrounded by our wonderful guests, many of whom are regulars,” said Tim Brooks, co-owner and general manager of the Rainbow Club Casino and Emerald Island Casino.
Since its grand reopening under the Brooks brothers’ ownership in 2020, the casino debuted Triple B (Brooks Brothers Burgers) under the leadership of Culinary Director Scott Pajak. The restaurant offers different types of cuisine every night including hand-crafted burgers, comfort food, prime rib, Creole dishes, seafood and steaks, as well as vegetarian options. This year, the Rainbow Club Casino also introduced a new line of craft cocktails, which are complimentary for players.
