The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation announces the addition of five employees: Mark Chow, Director of Community Outreach; Linda Kennedy, Executive Assistant; Nicole Semaia, Administrative Manager; Lisa Tomlin-Kurr, Director of Development; and Brooke Tuerke, Events Coordinator.
Chow has more than 30 yearsā experience in the nonprofit sector serving in administrative positions at City of Hope and Ronald McDonald House of Charities; and he founded A Foundation for Kids, a nonprofit serving families in need.Ā Chow oversees community outreach and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for the Foundation.
Kennedy joins the Foundation with more than 25 yearsā experience as a senior professional administrative assistant in domestic and international industries with experience in software development, regional utility, government contracts, health, and hospitality.Ā Kennedy provides administrative support to help advance the Foundationās initiatives and goals.
Semaia has more than 15 yearsā experience in healthcare and education and has worked within multiple facets of the nonprofit sector for organizations such as Vista Hill Foundation and University California, San Diego.Ā Semaia joins the LVMPD Foundation to manage the day-to-day operations of the administrative department.
Tomlin-Kurr joins the Foundation with more than 20 yearsā development experience working for organizations such as Clear Channel Outdoor, Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, and ALS Association Nevada Chapter.Ā Tomlin-Kurr oversees the Foundationās development of garnering sustainable support through giving programs and partnerships.
Tuerke has worked in the guest services, sports, and entertainment industries for more than six years for organizations such as Harry Reid International Airport and the Oakland Raiders. She launched a guest service division for clients such as MGM Grand Garden Arena, Mandalay Bay Michelob ULTRA Arena, and the Bud Light Garden at Luxor. Tuerke coordinates all aspects of event planning for the Foundation.
