Henderson, Nev. – MDX Labs presented Caridad Las Vegas with a check for $2,490 from a fundraiser held during the laboratory’s recent ribbon cutting event.
MDX Labs matched all donations collected from individuals in support of Caridad’s jobs program reintegrating formerly homeless veterans back into the workforce, as well Caridad’s on-going efforts to humanize the homeless population in Las Vegas.
“The Caridad Charity is an organization whose mission we are we are happy to support in a number of different ways,” said Dan Briggs, president & CEO of MDX Labs. “We are continuing to partner with Caridad and plan to expand laboratory testing services available through Caridad and throughout the downtown Las Vegas area where testing options are extremely limited.”
MDX Labs was founded in March of 2020, and immediately began assisting local companies and individuals with the on-site COVID-19 testing services that allowed businesses to continue operations and employees to keep working.
Now, two years after the pandemic began, MDX Labs is again expanding operations with a doubling the size of its laboratory and diversifying their testing offerings to local businesses and individuals.
Caridad provides jobs reintegration through gardening for formerly homeless Veterans. Caridad’s Hebron property in downtown Las Vegas provides low-income housing and programming for homeless as well as seniors on fixed incomes. Since taking over and partnering with MDX Labs, Caridad has assisted 33 homeless individuals and provided housing for 25 of them.
