The Henderson Chamber of Commerce (HCC) announced a two-year lock rate for association health plans (AHP) beginning July 2022 to June 2024. Open enrollment is June 1 to June 30. More than 450 organizations are currently enrolled in the HCC’s AHP programs, receiving group benefits, customization and industry-curated services with Health Plan of Nevada and Sierra Health and Life.
“Our AHP program is an extension of our mission to ensure that our chamber members have access to the best available benefits that provide value and care for their employees,” said Scott Muelrath, president and CEO of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. “With 15 industry specific medical plans covering manufacturing, services, retail and construction, we are able to offer HMO, POS, and HAS options with PPO dental and vision plans, ensuring members are able to customize plans according to the level of care that employees need.”
The industry specific association health plans offered through the HCC have experienced a 20 percent growth with participating businesses since the 2021 enrollment period. Group plans are available for two to 50 full-time equivalent employees.
“When it came time to find a new plan for our employees, we wanted to have options that provided access to medical facilities and doctors that are both affordable and accessible,” said Stacey Lockhart, executive director at HopeLink of Southern Nevada. “Because of our HCC membership, we have access to a plan that we wouldn’t have had otherwise, and we were able to cover 100% of the cost for our employees. Furthermore, the affordability of the plan ensures we can continue to fund programs and initiatives that prevent homelessness, preserve families and provide hope throughout southern Nevada.”
