Chairing the 2022 luncheon is Kerry Eaton, partner at Drinkwater Eaton Law Offices and former Nevada Women’s Fund board chair. Eaton is a Reno native and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. She received her Juris Doctor from William & Mary School of Law.
“It is my great honor to serve as chair of the 2022 Salute to Women of Achievement,” said Eaton. “Having served on the board, I’ve seen what’s possible when our community comes together to make a difference for women pursuing their education in Northern Nevada, and I am looking forward to being a part of such an uplifting event that honors Northern Nevada’s best!”
This year’s keynote speaker for the Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon is Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson, who served as Nevada Women’s Fund’s president and CEO for the past decade.
Reflecting on her time at NWF, Rodriguez Wilson said, “I thought my stories could be uplifting for others, but more importantly I thought that my experience could be applied to a local organization to raise awareness for it. I could put my time, experience, knowledge and the wisdom that I have gathered over the years into an organization that I believed in. I knew my stories were the same as those of other women and I wanted to lead an organization that embraced my own journey.”
Prior to her work at NWF, Rodriguez Wilson enjoyed a fascinating career working with international dignitaries, members of Congress, high-level federal and state government officials, corporate and special interest groups and entertainment celebrities. She started her career in our nation’s capital as a legislative analyst developing and implementing marketing and advocacy strategies to lobby the Legislative and Executive branches of government.
She then served the White House as Senior Advisor to the President of the United States. In this role she directed the elaborate details associated with the domestic and international event activities, travel, protocol and media for President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The Nevada Women’s Fund’s annual Salute to Woman of Achievement Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, June 30 at Grand Sierra Resort in the Grand Ballroom from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The annual luncheon serves as a recognition event for women in the region for their professional, personal and community achievements.
