Learning the importance of quality education and how to motivate others to provide the same. I can thank all of the hardworking and dedicated teachers I have worked with over the years. Without them, my success would not be possible.

Invest in yourself, work hard, be patient, actively listen to the people around you and keep learning.

If you were going to teach a college course, what would you teach?
Calculus, because I started my career as a math teacher, and I am passionate about teaching it.
What was the most Difficult Experience You Encountered as a Leader?
During the pandemic, it was very challenging to continue to provide quality education without any interruptions and respond to all of our students’, parents’, teachers’ and staff members’ safety concerns, and the social-emotional and nutrition needs of our students.
What is your Favorite Business Book and What Lessons have you Gleaned from it?
“How to Win Friends & Influence People” by Dale Carnegie I learned a lot from this book. The most important takeaways: being an active listener and how to build strong followers.
What is an Assumption People make about you that is Wrong?
That I am unapproachable – I have an open-door policy and enjoy hearing feedback from staff members on all levels.
