LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Bankers Association (NBA) announced the speakers for its inaugural Nevada Trust Conference on March 1 and 2.
Industry-leading speakers include Jonathan Blattmachr, principal with Pioneer Wealth Partners; Michaelle Rafferty, shareholder with Maupin, Cox & Legoy; and Robert Armstrong, partner with McDonald Carrano. Each will share their perspectives and vital information regarding Nevada’s trust environment.
Armstrong is a is a third-generation Nevadan with a wealth of expertise advising high net worth clients and family trust companies on Nevada’s trust, estate and tax planning legal and regulatory landscape. He will speak about trust and estate planning changes and challenges, what’s new with trust law in Nevada, and share his outlook on upcoming developments.
Blattmachr lectures and has written extensively on estate and trust taxation and charitable giving, writing nine books and over 500 articles on estate planning and other tax issues. He will speak about the best use of trusts under recently updated tax rules.
Rafferty’s law practice focuses on all aspects of estate, income, gift and generation-skipping tax planning, trust and estate administration, estate and gift tax audit, private family trust company formation, and fiduciary litigation for individuals, families, business owners, trust companies, and tax-exempt entities. She will discuss compliance, creating documents and paper trails that will be around electronically for future litigation and/or audit– increased regulation and the IRS staffing, while highlighting the importance of building solutions to withstand scrutiny.
