LAS VEGAS – Project 150, a local nonprofit that provides homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students with basic necessities, has named Gino Wideen chairman of the nonprofit’s board of directors and added Lori Calderon and Christopher Rowe to the board of directors.
Wideen is a partner at HKA Global, Inc., a global brand that unites the former Hill International Construction Claims and Consulting Group and associated subsidiaries. Prior to joining HKA, he spent 25 years as a small business owner specializing in operations management and the establishment and implementation of strategic organizational practices in all areas of business.
Wideen has a long history of philanthropic work and as a Clark High School graduate he understands the extensive needs within our local high schools.
Calderon is Resorts World Las Vegas’ executive director of community engagement. She represents the property’s brand locally and regionally and works to develop and execute strategies to support its ongoing efforts. In addition, she is responsible for identifying and facilitating relationships with community partners in support of the property’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), volunteerism and philanthropic efforts.
Rowe is managing director, EMEA and LATAM at Aristocrat. He leads Aristocrat’s businesses in Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He started with the company in 2004 as a sales and marketing intern. Rowe is a graduate of Silverado High School and has a passion for helping the youth in our community.
“As an organization, we are so pleased to welcome Gino as the board’s new chairman as well as add Lori and Chris to our board of directors” said Kelli Kristo, Project 150 executive director. “Their passion to find ways to encourage and enrich the lives of others go hand in hand with our mission of serving high school students in our community.”

About Project 150
Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, founded in December 2011 by local businessmen Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur. The two heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break. Since that time, Project 150 has expanded and now serves more than 5,900 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students in more than 75 schools in Southern Nevada. Project 150 provides high school students with immediate access to food, clothing, school supplies, and offers college scholarships and life skill courses so they can remain in school, graduate and build successful futures.
