“Over the last three months, we’ve seen a 50% increase in the demand for facial services, primarily due to maskne concerns, from males and females of all ages, many of whom have said they’ve never had acne breakouts in the past,” said Hannah Easley, owner of Vanity Beauty Boutique. “When you talk or breathe, your mask is trapping in warm air, creating a humid environment which is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Vanity’s 60-minute Maskne Facial focuses on deep-cleansing, and hydration and includes a skin analysis, double cleanse, extractions, high-frequency treatment, micro-current lymphatic drainage, enzyme therapy mask, correction serum and SPF, priced at $95.
