LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), a full-service environmental, water resource and civil engineering firm, was recently named Member of the Year by the Nevada Mining Association (NVMA). This award was granted to Broadbent for its outstanding participation and contribution to the Nevada mining industry through giving of their time, talent, and resources.
“We’re honored to receive this award and be named Member of the Year,” said Randy Miller, Vice President of Broadbent & Associates, Inc. “We are a proud champion of the Nevada Mining Association and strongly believe in their mission to support Nevada’s modern mining industry. We look forward to continuing our support of NVMA, as we provide excellent service to our clients in the Silver State.”
Broadbent was specifically recognized for their efforts in taking the lead in meeting with lawmakers as Nevada mining was facing three potentially devastating joint resolutions in the Nevada State Legislature. Broadbent participated in the Nevada Mining Association’s grassroots team, sent emails and made phone calls to legislators.
According to the Nevada Mining Association’s website, the association was established in 1913 and began as a collection of mine operators who negotiated the bulk pricing on materials. Today it is one of Nevada’s most respected trade associations and allows members a variety of benefits including networking opportunities with mine operators and other members who are vital to the mining industry.
