RENO — TSK Architects is pleased to announce the addition of Kolby Harpstead as a new architect at their Reno-Tahoe location. Harpstead joins TSK from United Construction and has a master’s degree in architecture from North Dakota State University. Harpstead has over nine years of experience in the field and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
“We are excited to have Kolby Harpstead as the newest addition to our Reno team of architects,” said Windom Kimsey, president and CEO of TSK. “Kolby’s skills set spans the entire architectural process with extensive experience in working with clients to reach their goals. We are excited to have someone with his background join TSK and look forward to working together to exceed our clients’ expectations.”
Harpstead’s new role as a TSK architect will include engaging with clients on the development of construction projects and building relationships that lead to future partnerships. Harpstead will be responsible for meeting with decision makers to understand client goals and expectations and then working to develop and coordinate the construction documents. He will also be responsible for overseeing the efforts of consultants, facilitating client approval of documents, receiving construction bids, and providing construction observations.
Harpstead recently moved to the Reno area with his wife Amanda from Sacramento. In addition to being passionate about architectural design, he enjoys woodworking, sailing, traveling and the great outdoors.
