Carson City’s longest running theater company presents “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors”, beginning Nov. 12 through 21 at The Maizie Theater on the Campus of the Brewery Arts Center. Along the treacherous Borgo Pass In the mountains of Transylvania, a meek English real estate agent is on a harrowing journey to meet a new and mysterious client…who also just happens to be the most terrifying and ferocious monster the world has ever known. COUNT DRACULA!!
Bram Stoker’s epic horror story hilariously reimagined with a dash of Mel Brooks and a pinch of Monty Python, presented as an old time radio play. This lightning fast, laugh-out-loud comedy by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen is guaranteed to raise your pulse and emit blood curdling screams of laughter!
Proscenium Players president Michon Chandler explains, “This is a staged radio play, a genre that we became well familiar with during the shutdown. It’s been fun to direct; will Dracula get the girl or will they stop him in time? Be prepared to giggle and gasp as our voice actors take you through their journey”.
Tickets are $15 per person and available on the BAC website, breweryarts.org. There are four shows on Friday and Saturday evenings, Nov. 12, 13, 19, 20 at 7:30pm and two matinees on Sundays Nov. 14 & 21 at 2pm.
