Annual fundraiser benefits Nevada Women’s Fund in its mission to empower achievement in women and families
RENO, Nev. – Power of the Purse, benefitting the Nevada Women’s Fund (NWF), returns in a virtual format on Friday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
For 14 years, the Northern Nevada community has embraced Power of the Purse as a ‘must-attend’ affair to kick off the holiday season and raise money to support NWF in its mission to empower achievement in women and families.
The designer purse raffle marks the highlight of the event and features high-end purses from brand names such as Michael Kors, Frye, Brahmin, Dooney & Bourke, Coach, Gucci and many others.
“We know that 80 percent of consumer purchases are driven by women and we know that there is incredible power when women direct those dollars to organizations or causes they believe in,” said Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson, president and CEO of NWF. “Yes, the beloved purse raffle is a highlight of the night, but at the heart of the event is the ripple effect that is created when women support women through the power of the purse.”
This year’s virtual Power of the Purse event is free for participants with purse raffle and donation opportunities once registered. To register and participate visit https://givebutter.com/2021POP where you can also see a preview of the designer handbags.
