WHAT:
Optum Care Community Centers, with locations in the eastern and western parts of the Las Vegas Valley, offers free classes and workshops to the public focusing on physical and social wellness. And now, coinciding with the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period that runs through Dec. 7, they have added classes to help seniors navigate the Annual Enrollment Period process.
WHEN:
Physical and social wellness classes take place at both locations Monday through Friday (except Nov. 25 and 26) through November, starting at 8:30 a.m. Annual Enrolment Period meetings take place every Monday in November from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. A full class schedule is available at: https://www.optumcare.com/state-networks/locations/nevada/ocnv/wellness-resources/community-centers.html.

WHY:
Optum Care Community Centers offer both medical and social care for overall well-being. For many seniors, navigating the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period can seem like a daunting task. The classes and workshops offered at the Optum Care Community Centers bring seniors together to learn about everything from computer use to needlepoint, and line dancing to yoga, in a communal, fun environment that is free of charge and open to all.
