The Brewery Arts Center has implemented some big changes in the last couple years and have been fortunate enough to receive major funding from the Commission For Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation as well as private funding to do some much needed improvements to preserve and make more sustainable their two block facility consisting of two historic buildings as well as implement new programming. As they look to the future, the staff and board of the Northern Nevada non-profit established in 1975 seeks the community’s input to develop their next strategic plan that will serve as the roadmap to lead them through the next five years.
“We are very fortunate that we have been able to accomplish everything we set out to do in the previous 5 year strategic plan that was developed back in 2016. We are now looking at a new era with new challenges and opportunities, but we want to ensure that the community has a say in what they want to see from their Brewery Arts Center,” says Executive Director Gina Lopez.
Many things are already underway including a new website, new membership program, new indoor live music series and plans for what was formerly the Artisan Store but plans are still being shaped.
