The Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) joins other leaders in the construction industry to encourage further diversity and inclusion in the industry through the inaugural “Construction Inclusion Week” (CIW). CIW is a result of a consortium created by a group of general contractors and seeks to build awareness and further the conversation towards a more inclusive industry.
“The construction industry is in high demand for qualified individuals to join our ranks at all levels,” stated NSCB Executive Officer Margi Grein. “At the Nevada State Contractors Board, we believe in and support efforts to encourage people of all backgrounds to consider a career in construction and contracting. Construction Inclusion Week is a great way to share information with both prospective employees and companies in the industry about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion”
Beginning with Day 1, “Leadership Commitment & Accountability”, each day of CIW is themed to encourage specific action. The other themes include, Unconscious Bias, Supplier Diversity, Jobsite Culture, and Community Engagement. Each day of CIW is presented and featured through a live webinar.
The CIW website also features a robust batch of resources for both members of the industry and the general public to learn more about the cause. These include daily videos, logos, collateral, social media resources, and guides. For more information about CIW, please visit: constructioninclusionweek.com
