LAS VEGAS – The Foundation Assisting Seniors, in conjunction with the National Silver Haired Congress, will host their 2nd Annual Charity Gala on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at the M Resort Spa Casino, 12300 S. Las Vegas Blvd. in Henderson.
“The Foundation is excited to bring the community together for a wonderful evening of food, fun, and philanthropy,” said Carol Chapman, president of The Foundation Assisting Seniors. “Our work is vital to the seniors and veterans of the Las Vegas valley, and I cannot imagine a better way to help support The Foundation’s work than a night spent fundraising in good company. We are grateful to our corporate sponsors and our honorary chair, John Katsilometes, for their continued support of our organization.”
The event will include entertainment by Mark OToole, dinner, and silent and live auctions. Auction items include experiences such as 5-star getaway to California wine country at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn Resort & Spa, Las Vegas Raiders tickets, among other raffle items including a $500 prize, private gourmet dinner and a Total Wine and More private wine tasting.
Additionally at the event, the Foundation Assisting Seniors will be honoring the 2020 Nevada Senior Citizen of the Year – a Nevadan who is age 65+ and has devoted time to the senior/veteran community. The honoree is voted in by previous recipients of this prestigious award.
Tickets are $125 per person or $900 for a table of eight; they are available to purchase at https://www.foundationassistingseniors.org/2021-gala or call The Foundation at 725-244-4200.
