~Local Organizations to Support Meals for Caldor Fire Evacuees~
(Reno, Nev.) – The Builders Association of Northern Nevada and the Builders Association Charity are partnering with Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the American Red Cross to provide meals for the evacuees of the Caldor Fire. The organizations will be providing daily meals to approximately 500 evacuees sheltering at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
“The Builders Association and our members understand that leaving home during a natural disaster is a traumatic experience, so we’ve partnered with local organizations to provide a little comfort in the form of meals to evacuees taking shelter at the Convention Center in Reno,” said Dan Morgan, CEO of The Builders Association.
“A warm meal can provide great comfort at a time of need,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with The Builders Association of Northern Nevada and the Builders Association Charity to provide meals to those who are sheltering at the Convention Center.”
“The Builders Association Charity is proud to partner with Catholic Charities and the Red Cross to support our Lake Tahoe neighbors,” said Brian Cassidy, Chairman of the Builders Association Charity. “As an industry, the homes we build serve as sanctuaries for families. When they experience a traumatic incident, we want to lend our support to see them through their time of need.”
