RENO, Nev. – TSK Architects is proud to have been selected as the architect for the Washoe County Reginal Archery Master Plan Facility design project. The existing facility is located at 1255 Matterhorn Blvd, Reno, NV 89505 and is planned to be expanded and enhanced to provide the archery community, be they experienced or learning the skills, a stable year-round archery facility.
“TSK Architects is delighted to have been selected as the architect of record for this project,” said Pat Pusich, principal of TSK’s Reno office. “The newly designed archery facility will feature beautiful natural landscapes and a state-of-the-art facility with the improved amenities, necessary to support the growing sport of archery, regional hunters and those interested in improving within the sport.
The Washoe County Regional Archery Facility will have four ranges which will include a 3D Course, Field Target Course, Olympic Course, and Broadhead. A priority in the design and function of the park will be ADA accessibility, ensuring that everyone can make use of the facility once complete. In addition to the facilities unique design, the range will also include an archery education area, Olympic/Paralympic archery range, safety berms, indoor archery range, indoor classrooms, restrooms, and enhanced access and parking. Additional access points along BLM Trail heads have also been included in design plans, helping attract the increased athletic lifestyles associated with living in the Truckee Meadows.
The first phase of the project could begin as early as 2022. The project is expected to be completed over the next 15 years. The project partners include: SPS+, Design Workshop, Odyssey Engineering and O’Connor Construction Management, Inc.
