LAS VEGAS – Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) received $50,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation on August 19, 2021. This donation was presented to Goodwill president and CEO Richard (“Rick”) D. Neal, Jr. and additional leadership within Goodwill by Joanne Haas from the Gene Haas Foundation at the Goodwill Career Center located inside The Boulevard Mall at 3700 S. Maryland Parkway.
“To receive such a wonderful contribution from the Gene Haas Foundation is a remarkable moment for all of us here at Goodwill,” said Richard (“Rick”) D. Neal, Jr., president and CEO of Goodwill of Southern Nevada. “We are humbled to have been selected to receive this funding and we are extremely grateful to the Foundation for their support. These funds will help further Goodwill’s commitment to serve out our mission of employee training and workforce development, building brighter futures for southern Nevadans through our service.”
The Gene Haas Foundation was established in 1999, by Haas Automation, Inc., founder and CEO Gene Haas, to support the needs of the local community, through grants to local charities. The foundation donates millions of dollars every year to manufacturing education and the community. In 2020, the Gene Haas Foundation provided more than $17 million in grants, bringing the total since inception to more than to $100 million.
The Gene Haas Foundation is pleased to make its presence known in southern Nevada by supporting various charitable organizations as Haas, Inc., expands its operations into Henderson, Nevada. Gene Haas has a home in the local Automation area and has committed to being an active and supportive member of the southern Nevada community.
