Saturday, July, 10th owner Anton Novak of Rounds Bakery announced the company would be giving a total donation of $18,000 towards the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra in honor of Novak’s late father, a past Philharmonic musician. The announcement was made during the return of “Pops on the River,” the annual fundraising event for the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra.
Rounds Bakery catered to the evening’s event raising $9,000 for the organization that struggled through the pandemic. In addition to donating the evening’s profits, the company generously matched the funds raised with a personal contribution of another $9,000.
“The restaurant industry was one of the hardest hit during the pandemic. But there’s one industry that was harder hit … the performing arts.” Said Anton Novak.
This donation is an extension of other Rounds Bakery partnerships and community contributions they have provided throughout the Reno-Sparks area in the past six years.

About Rounds Bakery
Where life tastes good, Round Bakery is your community bakery. Known for its authentic New York-style bagels, which are boiled before they’re baked, giving them a harder exterior shell while keeping the inside chewy—true to a New York-style bagel.
Rounds Bakery is Reno’s only local provider of the delectably buttery and flaky croissant-doughnut pastry, fondly referred to in our community as the #NotACronut. Customers can also find freshly made doughnuts, sandwiches, salads, and other like pastries. Many items are also available in gluten-free and vegan options. If you’re looking for a great meal, Rounds Bakery offers made-to-order breakfast and deli sandwiches, including the famous New York-style bagels and lox.
