PATRICK DUFFY APPOINTED TO NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL BOARD
Governor Sisolak appoints the President and CEO of the Nevada School of the Arts
to serve a four-year term on the statewide board.
LAS VEGAS – Governor Sisolak has appointed Patrick Duffy, President and CEO of the Nevada School of the Arts, to serve on the Nevada Arts Council (NAC) Board. The NAC Board advocates on behalf of the arts and arts education in Nevada and promotes policies and viewpoints to benefit members of the creative industry and residents throughout the State of Nevada.
Patrick Duffy, president and CEO of the Nevada School of the Arts in Las Vegas, is a philanthropist and collector who has placed artwork in museums throughout the country and abroad, including the Goodman Duffy collection currently part of the Smithsonian Institute Archives of American Art. He has served on the boards of the Smith Center and the Neon Museum, both in Las Vegas. He curated “The Odyssey: A Visual Art Experience” for the 2013 Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas. Duffy also mentors artists and is a motivational speaker.
“Receiving this appointment is an enormous personal honor for me and so much more,” said Duffy. “Having dedicated most of my adult life to promoting arts, the position will provide me with a higher platform from which I can continue to do so more impactfully.”
