Reno Printing Services Company Secures Spot in 2021 Greatest Companies to Work For List
– Annual printing industry competition returns after year long hiatus in response to pandemic-
RENO, Nev. – Reno Type, a direct mail, printing and promotional products company in Reno, has been named one of Promotional Products Business (PPB) Magazine’s “Greatest Companies to Work For” in the publication’s 2021 competition. This accolade recognizes Reno Type’s ability to cultivate a supportive working environment for its employees especially during the trying times caused by the ongoing pandemic.
Companies must be nominated by their full-time employees through a 15 question survey assessing their quality of employment in five areas: benefits, resources, culture, leadership and company direction. Out of the thousands of submissions and 429 qualified applicants, Reno Type was among the mere 52 companies chosen by PPB to receive a winning score derived from these ballots.
“Reno Type works hard to put both customers and employees at the forefront of our priorities,” said president of Reno Type, Kurt Hoge. “Our team members are the backbone of Reno Type’s vision and it is paramount that they are reminded of their value each and every day.”
This annual opportunity is available to all companies with current Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) member status and that have at least five full-time employees either in-person or remotely. The selected winners range in both size and category of their business, representing an elite group of distributors, suppliers and business service firms across the United States and Canada.
“Being recognized as one of the ‘greatest’ companies by both PPB and our own team members is a privilege,” said Hoge. “It just reaffirms that when companies work to support their own team members, giving them the resources they need to be successful at work and happy at home, everyone wins.”
Hoge has been a vocal proponent of equal and fair wages for workers. Reno Type became a union shop in 2019. In addition, the company is known in industry circles for its fast turnaround rate and variety of printing amenities including: offset, digital, giclée and letterpress.
