In preparation for the traditionally busy summer moving season, Move 4 Less will be hiring 12 movers and drivers for career-building opportunities at the forward-thinking, family-owned local company. Move 4 Less is Southern Nevada’s largest moving company with a fleet of 25 trucks.

“We look forward to welcoming new people to our great team, especially as our community is rebounding from the pandemic,” said Move 4 Less owners Avi Cohen and Moti Perez. “Our goal is to make our customers smile, and that has always applied to our employees, as well. In fact, this philosophy is now part of our new brand, ‘Smile, It’s Moving Day!’ As part of this commitment, we also hired a company culture consultant, so our workplace and communications better reflect our even more positive attitude.”

Move 4 Less offers competitive pay with the opportunity to make up to $2,000 per week with monthly performance bonuses. Health, dental and vision insurance is applicable after 60 days on the job, and a 401K option is available after one year. Full-time, part-time, weekend and seasonal schedules are available. No experience is necessary, but moving experience is beneficial. Drug testing and background checks are required.

Move 4 Less hired Missy Day, a local corporate trainer, speaker and executive coach, six months ago to create a healthier, more productive and fun culture within the company. Her efforts are paying dividends, contributing to Move 4 Less achieving its highest sales total in March since the company was established in 2004. Day works with the entire Move 4 Less team, from the two co-owners and sales team to movers and office staff.

Day has instilled four tenets throughout the company and team to create a culture that supports open communication, continuous recognition and an uplifting working environment. They cover: Choose Your Attitude, Make Their Day, Be There and Play. “The last one may seem counter-intuitive, but ‘Play’ promotes goodwill and a positive atmosphere,” said Day. “Employees are still diligent at their jobs, but Move 4 Less has added foosball, basketball, air hockey, and other games in the warehouse. For example, when movers return for the day, they can unwind and enjoy the games before they go home.”

Day provides one-on-one coaching for the management team, focusing on personal growth and goals, leadership development and effective communication. This enhances their performance and their relationship and communication with staff. A “Smile Wall” has been added for all employees to write messages thanking and encouraging others, celebrating achievement, and inspiring the team to smile, which coincides with the launch of Move 4 Less’ new brand embodied by the tagline, “Smile! It’s Moving Day!” Day also works on other projects, such as implementing a program for drivers where they earn recognition and points based on safety and other activities.

Perez expressed that he’s already seen a difference with the staff and in management team meetings.” There’s more laughing, and customer reviews are better than ever. When my employees are happy, I’m happy,” he said.
