State Senators and Representatives and more dignitaries to help honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice
LAS VEGAS – Bunkers Mortuaries, Cemeteries and Crematory will welcome veterans, families of the fallen, and the public to an in-person Memorial Day service to honor deceased veterans and their contributions to the country. The service will be held on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 North Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nev.
The Memorial Day service is expected to be attended by local dignitaries, including United States Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen, United States Representatives Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford, County Commissioners William McCurdy II, Justin Jones, and Michael Naft, Mayor Carolyn Goodman, and City Councilpersons Cedric Crear, Victoria Seaman, and Michele Fiore.
“At Bunkers, we are privileged to serve many veterans and their families,” said Bunkers Mortuaries, Cemeteries and Crematory Managing Partner Larry Davis. “By hosting a Memorial Day service, we pay tribute to those who have served our great nation and lost their lives for our freedom. We encourage everyone to honor these heroes not just on Memorial Day, but in whatever ways they feel appropriate in commemoration of their humble sacrifice.”
This year’s service will return to an in-person gathering, following the 2020 virtual service due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The service will observe all mandated pandemic protocols, including mask mandates and social distancing.
