The number of listeners grows as problems get solved
[LAS VEGAS]— What began as a desire to help the people of Southern Nevada has been transformed as the podcast, “The Problem Solver,” now broadcasting live from 11 a.m. to noon every Tuesday on Facebook Live, YouTube, and via the progressive problem solving app at www.theproblemsolver.vegas. People can call in as well as comment and listeners can also contact the host, David Kohlmeier on social media and the progressive web app.
His goal is to help people with problems, including employment, education, legal issues, car accidents, arrests, personal injuries, and housing assistance. David wants to offer resources and experts on his show that can inform listeners. All of this is provided free of charge.
Recent guests include Nancy Bernstein, Senior Intake Attorney at the Richard Harris Law Firm, and Lisa Myers of Northwest Career College. Guests never pay to be on the show but offer their expertise to the listeners. He has also partnered with nonprofits, including Hope Link, United Way, Safe Nest, and The Justice Center.
“Whether I am in suit and tie or tee shirt or jeans, I am out there helping people, and I am thrilled with the growing audience of the podcast as well as continuing to build my network of resources,” says David. “People call the police, but they only handle criminal matters. I am here to connect them with the right sources to help and a network of lawyers to help 24/7.
Audience numbers have grown to 12,000 listeners, with many stories of success being shared. One problem resolved involved a person who went to a barbershop to get their hair colored. That person was burned and was taken to the hospital. However, it was the customer that received the medical bill in the thousands. David helped them get legal representation to be compensated by the barbershop for medical care and loss of income.
David initially started helping people as a police officer and continued after he retired from the force. He dubbed himself “The Problem Solver” and, as the director of client relations at a local law firm, decided to make himself available to anyone that needs help getting difficult issues resolved, free of charge.
