Nevada-based general contractor earns recognition in 24th annual program for exemplary work.
SR Construction (SR) is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of two Spotlight Honor Awards for design-build projects completed in 2020. The leading general contractor was recognized for its delivery of the Henderson Hospital Observation and Emergency Department expansion and the ninth Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging Group (SDMI) facility located in North Las Vegas. The NAIOP Spotlight Awards is an annual award ceremony that honors projects, companies, and individuals for their contributions to southern Nevada.
“It is an honor to receive two Spotlight awards from NAIOP of Southern Nevada,” said Bret Loughridge, president at SR Construction. “Both of these projects, which were completed in the midst of the state’s response to COVID-19, provided much-needed capacity and healthcare offerings to the surrounding community. While the pandemic presented many challenges during the various construction phases, these awards are a testament to our incredible staff and trade partners who continued to work hard, follow mounting protocols, and deliver exceptional final products to our clients.”
The Henderson Hospital Observation and Emergency Department (ED) expansion project consisted of the construction of a 25-bed observation nursing unit adjacent to the emergency department and the addition of eight ER rapid medical exam/triage rooms, a second CT scanner, several more surgical suites, and enhancements across the emergency entrance and lobby areas. The project, which was completed in July 2020 and opened to the community promptly after, provided much-needed space for the increasing patient volume.
The ninth Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging Group (SDMI) facility, which opened in August 2020 consisted of 20,000 sq. ft. design-build ground-up construction of a wood-framed single-story structure. The project included an out-patient imaging center and state-of-the-art equipment; modalities include: MRI (magnetic resonance imaging, CT (computed tomography), 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), Ultrasound, Dexascan, and X-Ray.
