LAS VEGAS—In honor of April’s National Donate Life Month, Nevada Donor Network (NDN) is raising awareness of the lifesaving and healing gift of organ, eye and tissue donation in an effort to “End The Wait” for the more than 100,000 Americans, including nearly 600 Nevadans, waiting for their second chance at life. NDN is hosting their annual “Hope Glows” Fun Run/Walk virtually and partnering with local businesses to raise funds for the Nevada Donor Network Foundation.
The virtual “Hope Glows” Fun Run/Walk allows participants to run and walk at anytime, anywhere they choose from April 1 thru April 30. Participants can pick their own routes, track their progress through the WalkAroundNV app and receive a swag box full of fun glow gear from NDN.
“In order to continue serving our community in the safest way possible, we decided to host our Hope Glows event virtually this year,” said Joe Ferreira, President and CEO of NDN. “We are incredibly proud to honor our heroic donors and their courageous families during National Donate Life Month and spread awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation through our generous community partners.”
In addition to “Hope Glows,” NDN is also partnering with local businesses to host ICON donation drives throughout the month, where customers can receive an anatomical heart for a donation: Crazy Pita, Oasis Cannabis Dispensary, THRIVE Cannabis Marketplace, and The Parlor Salon.

About Nevada Donor Network
Nevada Donor Network is a federally designated 501©(3) not-for-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) committed to maximizing the gift of life and health through organ and tissue donation. Established in 1987, Nevada Donor Network (NDN) is one of only 57 OPOs in the U.S. serving more than three million people in the state of Nevada and over 100,000 potential transplant recipients across the country. They work collaboratively with hospital staff and community partners to promote research and provide a strong support network to courageous donor families who’ve turned loss into hope. At Nevada Donor Network, they encourage Nevadans to help individuals in need of life-saving transplants through education, research and action. Nevada Donor Network is a member of Donate Life Nevada, an affiliate of Donate Life America, whose state-wide efforts encourage Nevadans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.
