Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear will officially light a new PARQUEE outdoor digital sign as part of a continuing public-private partnership with Lamar Outdoor Advertising. The city partners with Lamar on a network of PARQUEE outdoor digital signs, with the newest one set to debut at the Historic Westside School, 330 W. Washington Ave., Thursday, April 29, at 10 a.m.
“Leveraging public-private partnerships is a way for the city to continue to fund programming and services for the community,” Mayor Goodman said. “This PARQUEE is in a great location on the Historic Westside and will be visible from Interstate 15.”
PARQUEES have been placed on centrally located city property with extensive freeway and street visibility.
“The design of this PARQUEE fits with the branding that we are doing throughout Ward 5 to remember, commemorate and celebrate the Historic Westside,” Councilman Crear said. “This is a creative way to bring additional funds to the city of Las Vegas with no up-front costs.”
As part of the PARQUEE agreement, the city will be given prominent advertising space on the signs to promote city events and programs.
