Reno—Jewish Nevada, Nevada’s Jewish Federation is a nonprofit organization that serves as the representative organization for the more than 70,000 Jews in Nevada, continues growth in the northern part of the Silver State as Hillel of Northern Nevada integrates its operations with Federation. Hillel is a pluralistic Jewish organization serving the college students of Washoe County.
“Jewish Nevada has been a supporter of Hillel of Northern Nevada since its founding. We have long supported and provided similar programmatic opportunities for Jewish college students on each end of the state,” said Jewish Nevada President and CEO Stefanie Tuzman. “This expanded partnership will help to ensure the continuity and cultural vitality of Jewish life on campuses throughout Nevada.”
Jewish Nevada’s Las Vegas Hillel program, combined with Hillel of Northern Nevada’s integration, will create a statewide Hillel program focused on Jewish student life, strengthening ties between the programs’ initiatives and overall Jewish student opportunities.
