OPD5 has extended the temporary closure of both its Overton and Mesquite offices to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
OPD5 closed public access to its offices and facilities at the end of November and announced Tuesday that those offices will remain closed to the public until at least Feb. 10, in compliance with Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak’s 30-day extension of a “Statewide Pause.”
OPD5 staff will continue to be available during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. via phone and e-mail to answer customer inquiries. OPD5 crews will also continue to operate, maintain and conduct any system repairs if a power interruption or problem were to occur during this time.
Customers who have essential business needs that cannot be conducted electronically, such as new customers signing up for service, can schedule an appointment, if needed, to meet with a customer service representative.
OPD5 also offers several contactless payment options. Payments can be made online or through its mobile app, which is available for download through the Apple Store and Google Play store. Customers can also make payments by phone using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system or by speaking with a customer service representative. Additionally, customers can set up autopay from a debit or credit card or checking or savings account.
