The Las Vegas Raiders finished their inaugural season with an 8-8 record and multiple franchise records. Though the team is done playing, the Kickoff for Kids fundraiser for homeless youth based on their wins and losses continues through this NFL season’s final game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Feb. 7. The community still can contribute to reach $10,000 for programs to help vulnerable youth through Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.
Move 4 Less developed Kickoff for Kids to support the nonprofit organization and celebrate Las Vegas having a professional football team. To date, $6,327 has been raised by Move 4 Less donating $500 per win and other funds based on game statistics during losses and some other donations from the public.
“We’ve enjoyed doing Kickoff for Kids to support the great work Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth does to help young people experiencing homelessness with basics survival needs and programs to a path of self-sufficiency,” said Eyrick Gibson, Move 4 Less general sales manager. “And it’s been a fun way to cheer on our new football team. We’ re pleased with how much we’ve raised for NPHY for this fundraiser’s first year and are hoping to reach $10,000 with the community’s help.”
Coinciding with the Kickoff for Kids launch at the beginning of the football season, Move 4 Less donated Raiders gear and snacks to clients in NPHY’s Independent Living Program and youth in the NPHY emergency shelters.
“We were so excited to be a part of the Move 4 Less Kickoff 4 Kids campaign. It worked to not only raise money but raise awareness about the growing issue of youth homelessness here in our community, while celebrating our new hometown team wins,” said Arash Ghafoori, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth executive director. “They also donated tons of Raiders swag to our youth to help them celebrate all season long. Thank you, Move 4 Less! Now we hope the community will continue to support this campaign and help us reach our $10,000 goal by the Big Game on Feb. 7.“

There are thousands of young people experiencing homelessness in Clark County, who lack the traditional family setting, guidance, and support for basic food, clothing, shelter, and certain activities and experiences. NPHY provides youth with all of their basic needs, shelter, case management, therapy, and a plethora of other services to help them to their path of self-sufficiency.
Move 4 Less’ participation with NPHY is a continuation of the company’s philanthropic initiative, Moving Our Community. The program encompasses helping nonprofit organizations, including moving essential items related to their beneficiaries, and moving families affected by COVID-19 who need to relocate from their current residence. Move 4 Less owners are paying for family moves.
