LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank earned the Gold award for “Best Bank” in the 2020 Las Vegas Review-Journal “Best of Las Vegas” readers’ poll. This marks the fourth straight year the bank has been recognized with this honor.
Nevada State Bank also earned the Silver award for “Best Wealth Management” and the Bronze award for “Best Mortgage Lender” in the Review-Journal poll results released Sunday.
“What a way to finish an unprecedented year. We’re honored and humbled to receive these awards and especially to be recognized again as ‘Best Bank,’” said Terry Shirey, president and CEO of Nevada State Bank. “This achievement is a direct reflection of our colleagues and their commitment to providing extraordinary service to our clients and serving our community through even the most difficult times.”
According to the Review-Journal, Best of Las Vegas 2020 attracted the largest number of businesses competing and the largest number of nominations received in spite of the pandemic–nearly double compared to the 2019 contest. For 2020, 4,686 companies and individuals made 15,453 nominations in over 350 categories. This is the largest version in the contest’s 39-year history. After nominations in August and voting in September, a record 1.8 million ballots were submitted, and 5.6 million votes were cast.
