LAS VEGAS – Hope For The City, presents “A Night of Hope: Holiday Edition,” a three-night holiday-themed benefit broadcast aimed to provide relief to Las Vegans in need and help Hope For The City provide essential food and supplies to families this holiday season and beyond. The 120-minute fundraiser will broadcast live on Channel 13 on Monday, Dec. 7 from 9-11 p.m. PT, on CW on Dec. 12 from 8-10 p.m. PT and on Your View on Wednesday Dec. 16 from 5-7 p.m. PT.
Hope For The City is a nonprofit organization passionately committed to providing care, relief and meeting the critical food needs of people living in the greater Las Vegas area and beyond. Partners include nonprofits, faith-based organizations, businesses and citizens throughout the Las Vegas valley during this economic crisis.
The organization has supplied more than 9 million pounds of food to 748,769 individuals and 174,362 households, medical personnel, first responders and members of the senior community throughout the pandemic. Additionally, they have created more than 375 pop-up government approved food banks to help with the tremendous and ongoing food needs throughout the valley.
A Night of Hope: Holiday Edition will be hosted by Chris Harrison, host of “The Bachelor” franchise (ABC) and is expected to be a fun-filled holiday experience for the whole family, with special appearances from our favorite Christmas characters! The holiday benefit broadcast will also feature musical performances by CMA (Country Music Association) award winning artist, Thomas Rhett who will be sharing a few songs and his heart for the community. Entertainers from the iconic Las Vegas Strip will also showcase exclusive performances created especially for this event. Additional artists to be announced.
The broadcast will feature a short film written by Jeff and Briana Cosgrove (The Disney Channel, Radio Disney, Ellen DeGeneres) about the journey of a pre-teen named Christopher who discovers the true meaning of Christmas and meets some of our favorite holiday characters along the way. When a “janitor Santa” at school gives Christopher a magical laptop, he is transported to exciting new scenes as he explores the variety of virtual backgrounds in Zoom. As in every heartwarming holiday movie, Christopher learns the importance of the love of family and friends, generosity, and the gift of hope.
Special behind-the-scenes footage will provide audiences with a glimpse of Hope For The City’s holiday relief efforts, including an immersive drive-thru holiday spectacle held throughout the holiday season. The family-friendly fundraising event will incorporate holiday fun for all ages while serving the needs of our community. Families will receive basic necessities such as food, warm clothing, hygiene products, and even toys for their children.
Proceeds from this event will go toward providing care, relief and meeting the critical food needs of those in need this holiday season and beyond.
