LAS VEGAS – In the thirteenth episode of The Scrappy Entrepreneur podcast, founder and lead market researcher with S2 Research speaks with Paula Y. about his research so far into why the customer experience is key and why you should care.
There is more behind the research numbers, since nobody has the “2.5 kids” that data projects in our world. Matt spent his career managing marketing and market research projects for brands across a variety of industries, and for many years was the Senior Research Analyst at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
As many residents know, Las Vegas gets an array of visitors, but Matt has taken a deeper look into them and why they journey here. A project on the books since the 70’s has surveyed the travelers on the Strip, to find out why and where people are coming from. In this episode, Matt discusses the different stories they heard, from groups on business to the spread of leisure travelers rekindling love, family trips or weekend getaways.
What he found is that each of those groups has different reasons to come to Las Vegas – this is where marketing comes into play. Even over the years, the interest in gambling and shows has changed, Matt explains why.
