New standalone location expands service to Elko members
(CARSON CITY, Nev.) ā Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU), a Carson City-based credit union serving northern Nevada, has opened a new branch location in Elko, Nev. The branch is located at 1211 Idaho St.
This is the first standalone branch in Elko. The new location will include many of the same amenities available at all GNCU branches, with some added bonuses. The branch contains one of the increasingly popular drive-up interactive teller machines (ITMs). ITMs operate the same way as a traditional ATM, but also provide the option of speaking directly with a GNCU employee via video chat. They have a variety of potential uses, including cashing or depositing checks, receiving cash withdrawals in multiple denominations, and directly interacting with a staff member to address answers to questions about accounts, loans or other services.
The new branch is home to a coin machine that allows members to deposit the entire value of the coins directly into their accounts with no fees. The branch also has a private room for video lending that allows members to speak directly with an expert loan consultant for a new loan via video chat.
āWeāre thrilled to offer more banking options to our Elko members through this newest branch,ā said Dean Altus, executive vice president/chief credit and retail officer for GNCU. āThe extended video service hours of the ITM is an especially great way for members working later hours to still conduct their banking.ā
The new Elko branch is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. ā 5:30 p.m. ITMs are available with video services from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. ā 5 p.m. and from 7 a.m. ā 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and in ATM mode on a 24/7 basis. The public can also take a video tour of the new Elko branch.
GNCU has served the Elko community with its longstanding branch located inside the Walmart Super Center on Mountain City Highway, and exciting new changes will soon come to this location. Greater Nevada Mortgage, GNCUās wholly owned mortgage subsidiary, also has an office located in Elko on Railroad Street.
