NORTH LAS VEGAS – Legacy Traditional Schools, a public, tuition-free network of K-8 charter schools, announced Candida Wadsworth as principal of the North Valley campus. Wadsworth plans to emphasize teacher support and mentorship along with individual goal setting as this will ultimately have a positive effect on the overall success of students.
As Assistant Principal of Coral Academy of Science Nellis AFB Campus, Wadsworth created and implemented a school-wide achievement plan for student success and growth on standardized tests. Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Wadsworth was an 8th-grade science and biology teacher at Renaissance Charter in Coral Springs, Florida where she also acted as team lead, math department chair and science department chair.
Wadsworth’s extensive leadership experience enables her to approach staff, students, and family engagement and transparency with great empathy and detail as she feels this promotes a prosperous and trustworthy environment. To further deepen her knowledge and skillset, Wadsworth is continuing her education and is in the process of earning her Doctoral Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
“As principal of North Valley, I’d like to instill in students and teachers alike, the importance of goal setting as a strategy to create a learning environment that promotes encouragement, motivation and success,” said Wadsworth. “By implementing individual goals, our students will flourish in their academics and personal endeavors which ultimately benefit the whole child.”
Legacy Traditional Schools North Valley Campus is located at 5024 Valley Dr, North Las Vegas, NV 89031.
